Jaleesa Vincent is personality plus—a unique soul from the Sunshine Coast and one of the few female free surfers who doesn’t need competition to stay relevant. With no surfers in her family, Jaleesa picked up the sport by watching her older brother, quickly developing a creative and fearless style all her own.
Always full of surprises, Jaleesa is known for her ever-changing hairdos, surreal surf edits, and a quirky side hobby in skeleton articulation—she loves keeping people guessing. Recently shaping her very first board gave her a deep respect for the craft, saying, “I didn’t even know what a concave was. Board shaping is such an art, and I would love to do it again.”
A true doer, Jaleesa thrives on free surfing and working on creative projects that blend surf, art, and music—each feeding and inspiring the other. She recently dropped the first-ever surf musical, Juju: The Surf Musical, where she performs her surfing alongside her music.
A colorful character both in and out of the water, Jaleesa is a pioneer of the women’s free surf movement, unapologetically walking to the beat of her own drum. We wouldn’t have it any other way.
