With the summer just around the corner and the launch of our latest Kissed By The Sun Collection, we just couldn't shake the sweet taste of summer and decided to whip up some of these tasty fruit boats! 


Here's what you will need to get started: 

  • 1 pineapple, halved
  • 1 serve acai
  • 1 frozen banana
  • ½ cup coconut water
  • ½ pitaya
  • ½ cup blueberries
  • ½ cup strawberries
  • ½ peach, sliced


These ingredients create enough for two Pineapple Fruit Boats.


Some Bonus Tips:

  • You can use any fruit and/or smoothie combination you want with these.
  • Add some toasted mueseli or nuts and seeds for texture.
  • Try using the boat for a rice dish, such as nasi goreng.
  • Rinse them out and use them to serve food a few times (be careful not to store them too long (max 5 days), they must be stored in the fridge).


To start, slice a grid into the pineapple focusing around the core.


For your next step, scoop out the pineapple to create a well and freeze the scooped out pineapple for smoothies. 

Once you've completed the steps above, combine the acai, banana and coconut water in a blender and blend until combined. You want the smoothie thick.

Proceed to scooping the acai smoothie out of the blender and place into the “well” of each pineapple.

Next, layer the fruit on top and enjoy!
