In the life of Guy Tanaka

You might be wondering why I’ve been MIA (Missing In Action) for the past few months, but it’s been for legit reasons! Read on to know more about them.

In the month of February, I was busy practicing and perfecting the cable aspect of wakeboarding which resulted in me being able to land a few new tricks including the KGB 5 (back-roll backside 540), transfer 3- nose press rewind, to name a few.

Come March, it got even more eventful, starting with house shifting, followed by going back to riding the boat again. I did have a mini-mishap where I ended up spraining my lower back but with (lots of) stretching and Yoga, I was back in shape and action.

After which, I coached some Wake enthusiasts! You can check out the shout-out and some photos on that on #BillabongAsia Facebook page.

25th March marked my 15th birthday! Apart from mini celebrations in school, I had a great meal with my family and started a new year on a happy note.

To end the month, I was out for a school camp to Sibu, Malaysia. It was a sea kayaking expedition where we kayaked a total of around 30km and paddled around, Pulau Sibu, Pulau Tinggi, and several others. It was pretty sweet!

So, that pretty much sums up my few months. Do follow regular updates on me on #BillabongAsia & Middle East Facebook & Instagram pages, and @GuyTanaka on Instagram.

Peace out.
