A proud representative of the South Bay, Dane Zaun is proudly following in the footsteps of the area’s rich surf tradition. An El Porto local, as well as a member of the USA Surf Team, Dane has a bag full of tricks, rotations, and tail-whips. An innovative goofy-footer, he’s used the multitude of breachbreaks in his area to fine-tune his high-performance act. But don’t underestimate him when the size is there. He’s done tours of duty in Mainland Mexico and Hawaii, and has proven quite capable, not to mention fearless. A true break-out moment has yet to arise for Dane, but it’s only a matter of time for the 17-year-old.
