Bariloche, Home Sweet Home Bariloche!

Bariloche is my hometown, and apart from that the most magical and unique place on earth. The city is on the cost of the majestic Nahuel Huapi lake, surrounded by the amazing peaks of the Andes mountains in Patagonia
Argentina.  

In summer, it gets pretty hot so people enjoy jumping into rivers and lakes, but compared to the past years this summer was the coldest. Heavy rain and really bad weather didn`t make this enjoyment as pleasant. As I arrived from the european winter, I was surprised with this rare weather and happy, because this could ment that the winter ahead its going to be a good one. Last season snow came really late and I think it was because the summer ahead was very very hot.
Despite the weather I was hoping to be able to go to the lake, relax on the shore and enjoy the view of the amazing sunsets but the freezing wind didn't let that happen.

As I waited for winter, other alternative activities came up, such as drawing, painting, knitting hats, some cooking for mom; because she doesn't like to cook very much :p, drive my car that I missed so much (its a citroen zx), go to punk rock concerts (local band Baishok), and hang out with friends that I haven't seen for months.

Winter is finally here, and so far so good. Already got some nice powder days, actually as many as last seasons´ but only within 20 days and way creamier ones. Snow came and with it a lot of wind and I mean a LOT, 80-100 km/h no chance to go up, snow and no visibility at all. Woods are the answer on these days and Cerro Catedral`s special treat.

Winter is ahead of us and super stocked that its already amazing. Can`t wait for trips, pow, comps, girls events, happy riding and magical moments with friends. From the southern hemisphere I wish you all a great summer!
