Hodei Collazo has been at the forefront of European surfing for the just on ten years, his super smooth style, powerful carves, intelligence and humble demeanor taking him around the world countless times and ensuring some of the highest accolades in European and world surfing.


In 2010 he won a 6 star WQS contest in Portugal, a win he counts as one of his best surfing memories. Still competing, late in 2012 he secured a third in another 6 star WQS event in the Azores, proving his talent and competitive fire still burn strong. Increasingly though Hodei is expanding his horizons, traveling, searching and filming quality waves in Europe. He has also become a real example to a new generation of Basque surfers, who are now following in his footsteps and taking to the world stage. The fact that a high percentage of them come from Hodei’s hometown of Zarautz is no coincidence. Through his incredible surfing and dedicated and professional approach he has showed what Basque and European surfers are capable of. And with a style that doesn't age, the bet is he will be doing it for some time yet.
