Luke Landrigan was born in Australia and moved to the Philippines when he was a baby. “My dad set up a resort here in La Union where we live in now,” said Luke. “He was also the one who got me into surfing. I can’t remember how young but I was bodyboarding at first, and then he got me a board. Now I love trying on different boards, weird shapes and love long boarding also.”

Coming from a small surf town is hard to get sponsored, but Luke has big dreams for his future. “Surfing has given me everything I own, didn’t expect it will get me this far. I hope that surfing here in the Philippines will get more support like in Indonesia and one day set up something like Indo’s ISC here. I would really love to continue teaching people the joys of surfing through my surf school also. In the next 5-10 years, I definitely still see myself surfing for sure, and will be dropping in on all the grommets.”
