It was supposed to be another normal Monday morning: Wake up, go for a surf, shoot the surf reports and come to the office. But something went wrong!!!
Arriving at Pererenan river mouth I saw a helicopter flying on top of the waves close to the shore. It was not a normal helicopter, it seemed to be a small radio controlled chopper that would fly on top of the break section for about 5 minutes and then fly back to the shore.
It did not take longer to see that something was going on over there. With 2 camera men, 3 photographers and the chopper coming and going every set.
The FULL Billabong team was there surfing. Taj Burrow, Parko, Dylan Longbottom and all the others were there. To complete the circus some boys from Hurley, Volcom and Insight decided to share the waves with them.
Every wave was sick. All the airs you can imagine, tail slides and carves that we only see in surf movies and waves being ripped from the take off untill the last bit of it.
