I never knew Cherating can produced such waves! I started surfing in 2007 in Bali and boy .... the waves can be quite scary sometimes. For me, surfing is about having fun! With my 6'8" fun board, I can catch the waves in Cherating easily ;)
Cherating is great for beginners. Its an easy paddle out (don't need to duck dive!) and the waves comes in sets! Its a quick drive from Kuala Lumpur (where I reside) and you can be sure I'll be there again next year!

Occy Grom Comp Malaysia Under Way!

A big turn out rolled in to Cherating Point for the first day of the Billabong Pro Am & Billabong Occy Grom Comp in Malaysia. The surf was small and clean.... and plenty of fun was had with the man.... Occy.
